Differential equations, which involve only one independent variable, are called Ordinary Differential Equations.
The order of an Ordinary Equation is the order of the highest derivative in the equation. (Highest differential coefficient)
The degree of an ODE is the degree of the highest differential coefficient when the equation has been made rational and integral as far as the differential coefficients are concerned.
